The Guru Jambheshwar University Science & Technology, Hisar was established by an Act of Legislation of Haryana State on October 20th, 1995 to facilitate and promote studies and research in emerging areas of higher education. It is named after Guru Jambheshwar, a saint, environmentalist of 15th century. The University has grown to its full size and stature within a short span of 8 years.

CSI Diocese in Coimbatore founded the college on 20th of September 1995.It was named Bishop Appasamy College of Arts and Science after the first Bishop in Coimbatore Diocese.
